There’s a lot to love about fall in Michigan! There are so many ways to take advantage of all the season has to offer. This list will help you enjoy autumn to its fullest potential. What is your favorite fall activity?

Winery Tour
Northern Michigan has some amazing wineries that offer great tasting experiences. Grab a few friends and take a road trip up to Traverse City to explore Leelanau or Old Mission Peninsula. These picturesque wine regions offer many locations to visit in the same area. Drive yourself or rent a tour van.

Hayride
Grab the kids and head to your local family farm for a good old-fashioned hayride! This is always a fun time to get outside and enjoy the country. Many locations also offer a corn maze, pumpkin patch, or apple orchard. Before you leave, grab some cider and donuts!

Apple Picking
Apple picking is a great way to get outdoors, soak up the colors and enjoy healthy produce at the same time. Research family orchards in your area to get the local feel, or take a day trip! Popular destinations include Crane Orchards, Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery and Buchan’s Blueberry Hill just to name a few!

Color Tour
Whether you are hiking or taking a driving tour, make sure to enjoy the fall colors this year. Peak fall colors are expected to hit early to mid October this year. Aim for October 3-17th for northern Michigan and October 17th-24th for the southern part of the state. These estimates are based on historical peak fall color dates and factor in the warm fall Michigan has had already.
